I'm in a LC guild and wanted some feedback on if you'd find this acceptable or not- our first rejuvenating gem dropped this week, the biggest healer upgrade in all of bwl, and 4 healers were allowed to roll on it. The criteria was supposedly "healers that hadn't won a big item in a while". I asked and dug a little deeper bc the ones chosen seemed odd.

One of the 4 allowed to roll was the GM who usually performs top 3 and was voted by the LC to win it, but he honestly doesn't like taking big upgrades before one other healer has it (mostly true). Another pally had just won Salamanders and Aurastone and is also top 3 and deserved to roll imo. The third allowed is a druid and has won T2 gloves and the mp5 neck but is the worst performer and raid logs. The fourth is another druid that recently won T2 belt and cauterizing band, is a decent performer, and I was told when asked he was allowed to roll because of how much he contributes to the guild bank.

All the people above have won the items since we started BWL. I was surprised I wasn't allowed to roll on the gem because they had all gotten these items after I had gotten my last one. However I have gotten T2 bracers, T2 boots, and pure elementium band. I'm also a top performer.

Imo the GM made a bad decision with the item based on the above, and I'm afraid for how future items will be handled. The main factor for who gets gear is suppose to be optimizing the raid the most. I was really surprised that the druid who just won cauterizing band and the other druid who is one of the worst healers were allowed to roll. Meanwhile I wasn't because I have won pure elementium band (by roll, not council). Also, I haven't been actually counciled a single item based on my performance. Every item has either been a roll or something everyone else already had. I feel wronged bc the druid who was just counciled cauterizing band (not much worse than Pure Ele Band) was allowed to roll and I wasn't.

Does this sound like the LC of a guild you would stay in? It feels like performance isn't being rewarded as intended and the above decision has my fearful for when another big item drops.
