I mean, it depends. First of all coding and IT are pretty different. HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a good place to start. You can learn code your own website that way. There’s a great starter book for HTML/CSS and other front end things. This isn’t the most lucrative freelance though. The best would be to try to learn some basic html/css see if it’s for you. And maybe look into a boot camp, many are scammy though. I actually took notes for three boot camps to hand out to their students and not all are created equal. The best students are still very green going in, people hire them with the trade off that they get someone for much lower salary but they have to train them too.

Yes....lots of people can learn to self code but not everyone, AND you are going to need something to show your skills too. Remotely there’s lots of competition these days, from India and people who live elsewhere.
