I’m a citizen of Pakistan and I was planning on visiting Dubai in December for NYE. My travel agent applied for my visa last week before the ban on certain countries was in place. I didn’t check up on my visa since I figured my visa was pending or something because of the suspension but my travel agent called me earlier today to inform me that my visa was rejected the very next day itself for “security concerns” and ever since he has been trying to figure out what the concerns were but he has been unsuccessful.

I have been to UAE several times in the past couple of years, have never overstayed my visa or had any run ins with the law or anything. I have spent over a decade living in the States and traveled extensively around the globe as well.

Anyone here familiar with such a rejection ? I travel extensively and Dubai is usually a nice pit stop for me as there are hardly any direct flights from Pakistan to other countries so the this obviously has me a bit concerned and I’m trying to figure out what could be the reason behind such a rejection.
