I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm done defending this game and Bungie. I tried to hold out hope for SO LONG that they would get the ship back on course. It seemed like they had everything on track when TTK dropped.

Then, the shadiness began. My clan spent days gearing up to raid day one, and after we beat it, we went back for some games of control. We told ourselves, "We're rusty" and "Only the sweats are playing PvP right now". Turns out we were wrong. They had changed MM parameters without telling anyone. Not some internal communication error, not a mistake.

THEY LIED TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.

After that, they implemented it in all playlists with SRL. They LIED AGAIN on Twitter.

Either the Crucible team is SOOOO fucked that one person can override everything without another lead designer knowing, or they lied.

THEN, THEY ADMITTED THEY LIED. I hoped that they might see the error of their ways with the OVERWHELMING negative feedback that came from them changing the system, but no. They won't change it back. Despite it being emotionally exhausting to try and play a game of Crucible for anyone with a 1.1+KD. And, despite the fact that there is CLEAR evidence that it has sent the lag spiraling out of control, they won't undo it.

There was nothing wrong with matchmaking pre-TTK. It was connection based, and sometimes you had a person lag. I'm in the top 5% KD spectrum, so I get indescribable lag EVERY GAME. It's fuck atrocious.

So, I'm done with Bungie. The second they undo the changes, I will come back. I used to play for hours. Today, did a daily mission and one match of lag ridden crucible before I handed the controller to my roommate, who played another game and turned it off right after he was done.

Bungie, you've fucked up a perfectly good game. Hope you're proud of yourselves.
