Daily Roundtable for April 25, 2019

I don’t think there are many people that think Biden won’t beat Trump. That’s not the argument I’ve seen.

I and a lot of other people do think he would be a pretty useless president considering the crises we’re dealing with at home and worldwide. He was campaigning for GOP representatives last year, even though he was in the administration that had to deal with a morally bankrupt and 100% obstructionist GOP for a majority of its time. I have no reason to believe he’s going to take any kind of real action on climate change, health care, student loans, the squeezing of the middle class, or basically every other issue I care about. He won’t even be interested in going after this administration’s crimes, the same way Obama didn’t do anything about Bush’s. After even just two years of Trump we need a drastic course correction to fix what’s going on, and as of now there is absolutely no reason to believe Biden will bring any of that except a “return to normalcy.”
