Daily Simple Questions Thread - September 04, 2018

I started Phrak's GSLP two weeks ago to get back to lifting (I did Crossfit a long time ago) after two years of relative inactivity (other than occasional running and light bodyweight exercises). My right hip flexor has started to hurt from squatting. It's most noticeable right near the point of parallel, but mostly disappears anywhere above or below that.

I stretch every day and have also tried widening my stance along with placing 5 lb plates under my heels, but it hasn't seemed to have made a difference. A narrow (shoulder width or a little less) stance certainly feels the best, but the pain still seems to persist regardless of the angle or width apart of my feet. I'm 6'0" and weigh 146 pounds.

What am I doing wrong and how can I correct it?
