I'm a 33 year old man. I've been losing tons of weight for a while via diet and to a lesser extent cardio, and have been doing some strength training for the last month and a half.

I find that

  • I have a lot of endurance when doing cardio (elliptical/bike/rower), but I find it hard these days to really get to a point I'm feeling it. I feel so weary if I try to really push myself and seldom manage to get myself to the point I'm panting, sweating, or have a rapid heart rate. Should I just apply more willpower and push harder?

  • I lift near my limits, usually doing 3x10 or 4x10 for a given lift and going until I struggle to complete with good form or even at all (for arm stuff at least), but I am never sore. I am not seeing much progress yet, either.

Does anyone have any thoughts on pushing myself right?
