Do you ever feel happier after exercising?

Things like classes at the gym, playing soccer, running on the treadmill, biking outside, hiking with your dog, etc. all give me a bit of a high when I'm done. Some of it is due to socializing, some of it is due to being outdoors in nature and and some of it is just purely the fitness itself. I'm not sure what your exercise regimen is but if it's solely lifting weights and eating grilled chicken and little else then.... yeah, sounds kinda depressing. I'm personally a big fan of mixing things up a little when you can to keep life interesting. Doesn't have to be a whole lot either and doesn't have to impede your routine.

Some things when I was feeling strung out on life and somewhat haggard: pop a vitamin every day, make sure your calories aren't too low, stay hydrated (but not too hydrated) and take a salt bath when you're sore. In the height of my fitness journey (I've backslid since covid) I was taking an hour each morning to stretch and get in tune with my body. I would often start with things like passive stretches where I sit on the floor in a split for example while I eat breakfast or play on my phone or tweeze my eye brows in the mirror. Usually I'd take that time to massage my feet and put on lotion. That and epsom salt baths (while drinking tea and watching Netflix on my iPad) in the evenings when I was absolutely wrecked from a workout in every way helped keep me sane. Then I'd go to bed. Apparently taking a warm shower or bath in the evening helps calm your nervous system down in time for bed. Think it has something to do with circadian rhythm.

Sorry, this was a bit of a messy tangent. Tired from working out and no longer have a bathtub to relax in :P
