Maybe try rowing?

Good god that makes my muscles so flipping sore. Also kayaking. There's rock climbing too but that is really not my strong suit personally...

I don't think weight training really has to be so conventional and routine. Here's a few things that I enjoy:

-Rope pulling machine

-Adductor/abductor machine

  • this thing with a plate in your arms

  • leg press

  • anything with a medicine ball, especially throwing with a partner

  • push ups and pull ups

  • this thing

  • bench press (preferably with a partner)

  • jump rope/calf raises/stairs

  • bridges

  • plank

  • leg raises on your side

  • crunches and sit ups (and bicycle crunches)

Add reps or increase weight/speed as needed. I'd say most of this can be as light or intense as you make it. Not a huge fan of working with barbells, dumbbells and kettle balls cause I feel like risk of injury goes way up.
