Daily Simple Questions Thread - July 17, 2021

Hey so I just joined this because I’ve been struggling with figuring out what to do, I’ve been training since 15 off and on maybe 5 to 6 months of training then fall off for 3 months that get back on, I’m 19 now turning 20 soon and my numbers have just seemed wrong, my squat has always been my strongest, deadlifts was always a little behind, but for some reason my bench has just been horrible. I started training again this last January after a month break, my bench was the worst it’s been since my junior year I could barely complete a 5x5 of 155. My squat barely lost strength and I stopped deadlifting due to bulged disk. This last month in june I hit 405 again on squat after not going heavy since last November, then I really started focusing on my bench I did the Smolov jr program which made my bench go up to 215 able to do 175 for 5x5 , not even focusing that much on my legs only hitting them once a week hard, sadly I’ve felt like no matter how hard I train chest I keep gaining strength then losing it or hitting a plateau. I tried maxing on squat yesterday and hit a new pr of 435 after only training legs once a week for a month. I know bench is harder to gain in but I just feel that for my frame and compared to squat my bench is terrible. I’d like to know if anyone has recommendations or would know what would help my bench? I’ve done a ton of research and can think of a couple things but I’d like to know what you guys think. It just crazy to me that I can put so much effort into a lift and barely make any gains if not any then hardly care about squat but make a 30 pound gain in a month. (I did break my collarbone on my right side not sure if it would effect it, right rear delt feels it a lot when I bench, and left shoulder isn’t that week but right one or very weak)
