Daily Simple Questions Thread - September 07, 2021

Hello,

I am in the third week of my first-ever cut. I am still trying to figure out what my daily caloric intake should be in order to lose fat properly.

However, different online tools give different values for my normal daily calorie requirement vs during a cut. This is what I am currently going by:

Male, 26 years old Height: 1.78m
Weight: 73 kilograms
Exercise: 3-4x times a week strength, 1x times a week cardio Normal daily calorie needs according to several tools: 2700 calories Daily calorie intake during cut: 2200 calories

Are these calorie values (both normal and during a cut) correct? Or should my intake during the cut be lower?

From what I understand, by taking in 2200 calories, I already have a 500 caloric deficit. On top of that, I burn between 400-550 calories per exercise session.

If these values are correct, I have so far burned:

Between 3256 (low end) and 5756 (high end) during the first 5 days of my cut. Between 3700 (low end) and 7200 (high end) during the full second week of my cut.

I would appreciate your opinion.
