  1. Jeff Cavalier is well respected, well enough to command the respect of the largest fitness audience on the internet. Let's be real here, just because you dislike him for whatever personal reason, it doesn't mean he's a charlatan act. I'm assuming you believe the same for Jeff Nippard.
  2. You have misread. I did not mention to volume or reps in regards to muscle hypertrophy, but instead rest between individual reps. From experience, along with research, I can tell you that you'll receive a greater effect on your muscles if you don't rest them for 5-7 seconds between individual reps; there is more intensity and effort demanded without such excessive rest. Of course you can argue that the difference in results would be small, but for those of us who are serious lifters, it all adds up.
