Daily Tech Support Thread - [February 28]

I'm posting this all over because every apple sub removes it.. Scumbags.

WARNING! I entered the iPhone upgrade program 2 years ago this feb. When I joined, it seemed like a no brainer. Pay the exact amount the iPhone (+AppleCare) cost, but as an interest free payment every month.

Well a year went by and I basically saw there was no reason to upgrade to the iPhone 11. I thought it was very similar and my iPhone was functioning perfectly. I believe I did inquire and it was going to cost something like 200$ or something but honestly I don't remember. Anyway.. I forgot about it, and now that it's been two years I thought I'd look into my options.

Well, I have found, and please if I'm missing something important please correct me, but I have found that if I continue with the iPhone upgrade program, I am still expected to trade my iPhone X in for 0 value. I've attached two screenshots. One continuing the iPhone upgrade program, and one "trading in" my iPhone X to purchase the same exact iPhone 11 Pro. The trade in value of my iPhone X is $320.

Does this mean, that the privilege of trading in your iPhone every year costs the value of your device that you're going to trade in? This seems impractical at best and tricky at worst. I believe there are a lot of people that might just continue the upgrade program not knowing they're losing out on hundreds.
