DAILY THREAD: Rant/Rave?

This was a great make up week for me! I recently switched foundations from Too Faced Born This Way to the MUFE ultra HD stick. I really loved BTW, and used up a whole bottle of porcelain even though I thought it was a smidge too yellow (I'm very fair and slightly pink although neutral shades seem to match me better than pink ones). I was SO excited when I learned they had lighter colors online so as soon as I ran out of porcelain I ordered snow right away. Finally got it, and it was too light, which has never happened to me before! I was so bummed/frustrated and just decided to go to Sephora and check out MUFE, which is a brand I've been wanting to try forever. I was a little nervous about getting the stick because I know it's more of a dewy/hydrating finish and my skin can get oily throughout the day, but I tried it on in the store and liked it enough to buy.

OMG. I've never had a foundation blend so easily and flawlessly into my skin. I use the optical blurring brush by Urban Decay and it blends into my skin like a dream. And the color (R230) is the best match I've ever found for both my face and neck. You can't even tell I've blended it down into my neck. It's just so creamy and hydrating, feels so light on my face but it's full coverage, and I don't get oily with it like I did with BTW. I can't stop raving about it. I've been wearing foundation since I was like 16, and finally at 24 I think I've found my HG!

I also got Kathleen Lights' Miami Fever liquid lipstick, which was definitely risky because I'm so fair, hate buying lipsticks online bc everything ends up looking so much darker on me, and it was definitely out of my comfort zone (I own about 50,000 mauve/pinky nude shades). But it was 40% off and limited edition so I thought what the hell. I'm SO glad I did! I wore it yesterday and got so many compliments on it from complete strangers. It looks a lot darker on me than anyone I've seen and it just goes sooo well with my skin tone. The formula is nice too, pretty comfortable, although it never really dried down all the way and because of that it transferred on anything that touched my lips. But I would definitely buy a LL from Ofra again.
