So Daisy has a date today?

Hm. Well, Magic was telling me the other day how all ponies have innate magic. Unicorn magic is the most obvious, but pegasi and earth ponies have their own kinds of magic. Pegasi can fly even though they should weigh too much, and they can control the weather because they can interact with clouds, and also somehow have the ability to make rainbows. And earth ponies have more strength and endurance than the average pegasus or unicorn, and they're inventive, and talented with their hooves; apparently most bakers, mechanics, farmers, and most other jobs that involve making or growing things, are primarily earth ponies.

Zebras have innate magic as well, but like earth ponies, it's not immediately obvious. The Achu, for example, are the tribe that live in the volcanic region on our border with the dragons. They're said to have fire in them. They can survive in hotter temperatures than other zebras, and supposedly they can walk through fire unharmed without drinking any kind of potion. My tribe, the Tappahani, live in the jungles, and have always had an affinity with plants. The Carnilia are the tribe known for farming, but they tame and cultivate plants. We let the plants grow wild and take only what we need from them, and in return, they help us when we call on them. It's not as simple as just asking politely and having a tree move for you, but with a little bit of alchemy or a potion, we can encourage plants to obey us much more easily than any other tribe, and we have a stronger connection to the plant we are using than most zebra sorcerers. Plants aren't on the same level of intelligence as a pony or zebra, or even a beast like a manticore, but... they can grow very old, and grow very close together. They know things, and they can understand an animal's intentions. They respect us as we respect them, and seem to enjoy when we provide them with the magic needed to give them movement.

Sorry, I went a bit off-track there. But suffice it to say, the Tappahani tribe are very in touch with nature.
