It's already clear that making prostitution illegal doesn't help anyone. It only hurts people. Making it legal would make it safer. This has already been proven both by prohibition (the banning of alcohol) and by other countries where it's legal.
It’s a more nuanced topic than “you must not want women to have sex at all!!!!11!” and to treat it in such a manner does the conversation a disservice
