Ok...so are we going to assume that only worked one way? It never benefited her that a guy with a lot of power had a desire to have her around him? That helps in the job interview process.

I understand "the power dynamic" and how Sally Hemmings MIGHT HAVE loved Thomas Jefferson...but she wouldnt have had a choice if she didnt. That's not the issue here.

"Im sorry I was attracted to you and I didnt successfully stifle every aspect of that." is a hard task for any human being. Setting the precedent by attempting to one-sidedly apologize for being human is bound to have negative consequences going forward.

The bright side was the well-spoken and heartfelt apology and the spirit in which it was accepted. I get that.
