Dan wanted to remove as many fantasy elements as possible bc “we didn’t just want to appeal to that type of fan.” They wanted to expand the fan base to people beyond the fantasy fan base to “mothers, NFL players”

Yea. I'm a physics major. I fit the unfit stereotype.

But most physics professors fall into two categories, go to the gym and dont go to the gym. You can sometimes tell which is which.

The students are diverse though. You have some fit muscular people, some skinny, but not many fat. Most are skinny. A lot talk about sports. Not many book readers really. Not many fantasy nerds. The nerdiest things I've seen

(besides discussing physics cause come on... we are physics majors, we talk about physics and math quite often our moments in between classes )

are discussing game of thrones

(which there is one particular super fan of the show and books so you can believe there were discussions on the show and how awful the show ended. )

and discussing science flaws in movies. For example, inversing a mobius strip and finding the eigenvalue. We arent too advanced in science and math, so as far as we know, both are impossible. Then again, physics is about learning things and then learning about how what you learned is a gross simplification of reality and what was once considered impossible is very much possible.
