Danganronpa V3 - Chapter 6 Discussion

I just wanna put all of my complaints about this trial in 1 place. I gotta vent somewhere. In no particular order:

  • Going into this trial I had no idea what Shuichi had in mind but it got obvious and predictable pretty quick
  • Tsumugi who is obviously the most suspicious is the mastermind and barely puts up a fight (Keebo had just gotten his big show-off moment. She has had 0 development up until this point and even basically sold herself out, was really hoping for a twist there)
  • Shuichi and Keebo understand the antenna thing, just break it already
  • The NicoNico text during the Keebo part was beyond annoying
  • All the fourth wall stuff
  • The Junko thing was really obvious and abnoxious, I hoped it was a kind of defense mechanism and was waiting for it to be over but it lasted a long time
  • Why the hell was there a Hope's Peak book with directly contradictory evidence there anyway? If the game played out with Kokichi alive, it would have ruined the game anyway. (Actually in hindsight this is pretty awesome. Kokichi get's ANOTHER way to ruin the game and if it's revealed would for sure cause despair which is Tsumugi's goal. This is genius. Now my problem is I wanna see that :P)
  • I'm pretty iffy on the rapid cosplay thing, fun in some ways obnoxious in others

I really did like things in this chapter too (like the protaganist that says there is no hope) but this trial gave me so much despair. My biggest problem is where do they go from here? I can't believe they want the series to end on "this game is a show and it's over" but what's left? Danganronpa 4 of the main series? That seems kinda underwhelming after all this. All I can hope is that they fully reboot the series but I love the Hope/Despair and Ultimates thing so I dunno about that either. Hopefully Nagito is right and the greatest despair creates the greatest hope, i'll be around to find out.
