Here is the thing, I am pretty new to football so I was surprised to learn that Karim Benzema was awarded a Ballon despite his past and being the reason why the player he blackmailed getting kicked from the France team as well. I was even more shocked to learn he was convicted in 2021, served no prison time, went on to winning CL, and then Ballon the following year. Yes, he had a fantastic season, but I didn't know they awarded Ballon to criminals as well.

I hate how Griezmann and Lloris are getting so much hate and saying how jealous they are of Benzema and Benzema would have made a difference in the finals like they didn't just win a whole World Cup last time without this dude.
