Danish electric ferry vs Scottish ferry

We have 2 hybrid ferries in Calmac’s fleet already and the Hallaig that serves raasay is dry-docked a lot more than older diesel vessels.

Also the Glen Saxon and hull 802 are designed to never turn off their engines (not saying that’s good-pollution) and go for longer distances than the 90km which the danish ferry currently needs charged after.

In terms of tonnage that can be transported there’s a massive difference.

I whole heartedly agree there was some sketchy shit going on and fergussons was not equipped to take on these contracts.

But comparing an electric ferry being in use before two enormous MVs is clutching. Again- they should definitely be in use by now.
