Dark Days in Ukraine

This slightly reminds me of those people getting upset about that Neo-Nazi being punched in the face, and seemingly ignoring the fact that he has repeatedly and passionately called for "peaceful" ethnic cleansing and is supporting a political movement to make that a reality.

I'm not saying that punching people you disagree with is okay, but at the same time I think people forget these individuals literally want to murder millions of people, or at the very least eject certain ethnic and religious groups from the country.... which would still be violent, because there's no way in hell you are going to remove millions of people from the country without some serious resistance and fighting.

It's actually kind of brilliant what Richard Spencer is doing. He deliberately avoids being violent and tries to use semi-rational arguments in order to sway middle-class white Americans to his cause. Liberals defending his right to speak and grow his movement are indirectly helping him. He figured out a way to push the cause of white supremacy and has gotten (some of) the people that should be his ideological opponents to support his right to do it.

Rebranded Nazi-ism is far not a serious political and social threat at this point, but hate groups and racist ideology are on the rise. But what really worries me, is wondering what my fellow liberals will do about it.
