I have experienced exactly what you’ve described and I realized that the guys that treat darker women as “lesser” than or not the prize, a lot of them don’t even realize that they are doing it. Almost like parents when they say they don’t have a favorite kid, but their actions/conversations tell a different story or when your at a restaurant and the waiters are more attentive to the other races but they still serve you so you should be satisfied, right?

It used to bother me especially if I was really attracted to that person only because if I liked you, you’re appearance(not grooming) would come last to how you made me feel but it doesn’t bother me as much anymore.

You like who you like and it just means that you have to be extra keen when dating a guy coz you just might be a placeholder for when he’s able to get what he really wants.
