"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King, Jr.

They have been ignorant and problematic for years and years, we're not just talking about one incident here. They still haven't changed one bit. Allowing them to get a pass for their behavior does nothing except continue to enable them because then they know they can get away with it. They could have learned years ago if they actually cared to do so. Stassi is in her 30s and Kristen is closer to 40. These are not children we're talking about here.

Seeing that your actions have consequences could actually be the reality check someone needs to finally acknowledge their poor behavior, understand why it was wrong, and work to do better. I don't like the notion that consequences are harmful, they can be the start of self-reflection. I think doing nothing is far more damaging. They've chosen to say and do all of the things that they have done publicly. That is their own fault and no one else's. Saying their lives are being ruined is quite dramatic since they're all living in million dollar homes and have made more money off being awful already than any person should. There are so many people legitimately struggling on a daily basis. They could have actually ruined Faith's life and they showed zero remorse. Reality television is not forever and their run on the show will end eventually, whether it be a month from now or ten years from now. Nothing is stopping them from finding work outside of reality television if they need to do that one day.

Lastly, it is not our job to educate them. They live in one of the most diverse cities in the countries and are all grown adults. I understand some people are legitimately ignorant about race, say someone who grew up in the deep south around nothing but racist white people. Then I could understand the let's teach them approach., However, when you've lived the lives of the Vanderpump Rules cast you have to acknowledge that at a certain point the ignorance and racism became willful. It's not that they didn't know any better...they just didn't care. Maybe now they will after finally seeing actions have consequences.
