That idea passed through lots of peoples' heads and right out again as a shitty, nasty thought before we even read your post. It's a completely obvious trail of logic after reading a screenshot of a person being completely shitty and then hear that he's currently trying to dodge bullets somewhere.

The thing is that any reasonable, mature human being knows that someone who is a dick in text messages over a girl does not deserve to be riddled with bullets. The crime doesn't fit the bill. Especially when he's doing something that many, if not most cultures revere and at least recognize that there is a honor in answering a country's call of duty.

The problem is that you literally wrote this thought straight out, clicked or touched the submit button, and then had the audacity to tell others they missed something funny. Every single one of those ~100 people who downvoted you had filtered your shitty, vile thought right out of their system before even reading your post. The fact that you did not filter it out yourself is a display of your lack of maturity or your ability to edit yourself.

You didn't even write your thought in a clever, funny, endearing, charming, randomly obtuse, or even a thought provoking way. You said the most basic, simple, deconstructed version of the thought, with no attempt at inserting humor or winning readers over to the joke by expressing the sarcasm or satire connected to it properly.

In closing, I want to make sure that you understand exactly why you received the response you did. It was because your attempt at humor was ill-formed and fell short of any type of appreciable creativity. I hope in the future you will learn from this experience and improve on your comedy technique.
