dating an actor/actress would be more of a nightmare than a dream come true

I can kinda see what you mean.. but I don’t understand your explanation. Just because their whole job is acting as a character and pretending to be someone else, does not mean they are always pretending or lying all the time as if it’s their personality to lie.

It may be a nightmare, that’s fine, but I just don’t get the logic given. I don’t mean this to be rude of course, but by the wording, it makes it seem like every single actor/actress is a psychopath or sociopath, or even abusive. Some could be like this, but it’s a small minority of actors.

There can be some actors who lie and such, however that can be the same to anyone else. Not all actors can just cry on queue either, it’s harder than most people think.

I haven’t been in the acting career branch, but I’ve been in theater. Almost everyone in my theater was amazing and respectful apart from some rude or drama obsessed people, and of those people some of them were techies (so not just the actors who were liars, etc).

I can agree that dating a celebrity (not just acting) can be pretty bad or uneasy or tricky, unless maybe if you’re a celebrity yourself. No privacy practically, the stress/pressure, etc. The reasoning put in the post though isn’t correct- again, it makes it sound like all actors or actresses are basically abusive or psychotic.
