I was 30 when I went vegan. There is a lot of misinformation out there that keeps a lot of people believing that animal exploitation is necessary and isn't cruel.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to only date other vegans but also... what if someone with amazing compatibility to you is out there and just was never exposed to the facts? It's your own choice.

My current boyfriend has listened to what I have to say and has dropped 90% of animal products from his diet and it's only been 6 months. If I had refused to date him because he wasn't vegan I would have missed out on the best relationship of my life.

I wouldn't actively encourage a vegan to date a nonvegan, but I wouldn't say it's better to never date a nonvegan either.
