I don't understand why people are making it a black thing. It has less to do with you being black and more to do with your being a foreigner with different culture and different outlook towards the worlds hence not fitting right in with Nepali culture and lifestyle. The parents would have acted same if it was a white girl. There are numerous blogposts from ehite girls talking about their husband hiding them from his parents for a long time.

The thing is dating for American and a Nepali is a different experience. For Nepali people, parents are involved too to some extent. Talk this out with your boyfriend, give him some time. If you guys are thinking of taking your relationship to the next level, meeting the parents is a must because parents have a huge in marriage in nepali culture.
