Daughter, age 3, suddenly seeing a "ghost" almost every night. Please HELP

You are actually projecting an enormous amount of interpretation onto what your daughter is saying and doing. The facts are that your daughter is imagining, and that she may very well imagine a woman with ketchup on her face. The idea of ketchup on the face is hilarious to a 3 year old.

And that fact that you consider her sentence with the phrase "turquoise edition" to be amazing because it's within context is immediately nullified by you, because you put your own interpretation on that and translated it to mean "housing edition".

Yesterday, my 3 year old son told me that his sister was being "ridiculous", and that he was "very frustrated because gravity kept pulling his Duplo towers down". I don't know where he learned those words, but I don't assume he's an astrophysicist because he applied the concept of gravity perfectly to a real life example. This is exactly the age when children's minds blossom and they quickly acquire new words and ideas.

The value and the import of what your daughter is saying is an interpretation that comes from you and belongs to you only. Being atheist doesn't protect us from the human instincts to interpret significance and protect it onto unusual occurrences.

What I mean to say with all of this is: you have a little girl with a healthy imagination and a hilarious vocabulary. That's it that's all
