Daughter's fury as biker who killed her dad demands cash from HER - for HIS injuries

So basically this is the whole nebulous "tort reform" complaint, it's super easy to say you should just bury the hatchet and forget about it when you're not dealing with long term injuries, but actually the legal system is not completely unfair and money doesn't disappear when it's inherited. I would much prefer the UK had a robust system of civil and criminal legal aid so people did not have to pay out of pocket defending civil matters, but this honestly doesn't seem like a case of some rich corporation fucking over a little guy even if they lose. It's not really fair to the family, but at the same time, if you actually think that someone who is at fault shouldn't be held financially liable, I cannot possibly agree.
