Wasn't going to say anything further but saw several comments about how Chappelle is "punching down" and that he should be better than that. Bruh, you realise most people don't look down on other people right? I swear half of you don't even give consideration to what you're actually saying. I'm surely not alone knowing that Chappelle has openly and repeatedly expressed his support for trans people and yet for some reason so many of you seem to think wanting support for trans people means you must treat them differently to everyone else. Treating trans people equally (to the point of being able to use them in comedy alongside everything and everyone else) has absolutely no connection to being opposed to their rights.

Before anyone jumps down my throat, that's not even my personal view. And yet I'm able to understand him. He is very clearly not anti-trans. He might be a couple of steps closer than some, but that hardly makes him a villain. Not sure why so many people find it so difficult, especially when they're preaching equality through understanding.
