You see David or “a David” type in Walmart open carrying.

You cannot compare the two if they are not the same.

I'm only comparing them because you posted on a gun-related post pertaining to American gun laws. You stated that your government sees guns as unnecessary and carrying one is illegal.

I'm only citing laws I've read online. I don't claim to know anything firsthand or have any knowledge of your country or its culture.

I'm not, nor have I been, arguing or being petty.

Guns are definitely bad and if we could abolish them I'd want that, but the world doesn't work the way we want it to. I believe it would only lead to more crime if we took ownership from law-abiding citizens. Criminals will always be criminals. Taking away their guns won't change that. It'll prevent mass shootings, but those are rare in comparison to the typical, everyday gun violence that wouldn't cease.

I think we can agree that our cultures are vastly different, but the result of gun violence is definitely the same. They never should've been made legal to begin with.
