Hey - I'm a decade older than you but grew up watching Shane Dawson when I was about 12/13 (possibly younger?) and remember the repulsion when everything came to light with him and I would watch videos that put all his disgusting sexual material together. Puppet like content that seemed created for comedic preteens definitely groomed the shit out of me and I wonder how much of that could be linked to early, extremely risky sexual behavior I engaged in.

I think watching the David content at a younger age is going to encourage misogyny and douge-baggyness in the younger generations but any young fans that see the severity of the SA allegations and the idiocy of the Jeff interview are likely to have some hope of change.
