Day 135 of Blueberry. First time grower who made a LOT of mistakes, stunted growth like crazy and killed the other two original northern light plants I was growing. But I’m on the other side now and these two girls are growing like crazy and taking up heaps of water and looking super healthy!

I don't know what they're called, but they are like small strips of paper with a thin wire inside so you can bend it and it stays in place (and is easy to remove). Googled "pipe cleaners" and it's exactly the same, only with paper instead of the fabric.

Yeah you have to work the stem really gently, rubbing with your thumb & index finger so the stem becomes bendy on it's own and not through sheer force. That's if you are doing really hard bends. I guess it becomes second nature after a few screw ups, hehe. I did a lot of stupid shit as well, I guess we all did our first time. Have to break a few eggs to make an omelette.

I might've done it wrong. I raised the netting during first 3 weeks of flowering and tried to wiggle branches as far apart inside of the netting holes as I could so that the inside of the plant would open up to get more light. After that I left it alone.

If your idea of netting is to constantly raise it enough to bend the new shoots down then that will probably lead to a different outcome than how I did it. I thought of it also as support for the heavy branches in the last couple of weeks, so I didn't raise it to the top, or I'd have to use sticks to prop up branches, defeating the purpose of the netting (in my mind).

I find it easier (and a lot faster) to just pull the whole plant out and work in stages. First removing all the remaining fan leaves and then lightly trimming sugar leaves. After that chop and the whole plant is hanged upside down and dried.

If your research leads you to a different result then ignore what I said. I didn't go super deep into netting and I could be very wrong. When I saw the picture I had a flash-back to my situation and had to respond.
