[Day 8] Bright Eyes

Freaking love wearing purple. I think plummy colors definitely bring out my eyes, so I'll probably add this into my regular look wardrobe.

Product list

  • MAC Pro Longwear concealer NC20 + NC25 (I'm considering buying a foundation mixer to make it darker and just get NC20 next time. I hate mixing two colors and wasting some of one or the other every time.)

  • Innisfree No Sebum Powder

  • Fyrinnae Sunkissed Finishing Powder

  • Wet n Wild Color Icon Blush in Berry Shimmer

  • Colourpop Lippie Stix (ughguughghg) in Tiger

  • BareMinerals 5-in-1 BB Cream Eyeshadow in Radiant Sand (allover lid + crease)

  • Kiko eyeshadow stick in #37 Burgundy (on lid)

  • MAC eyeshadow in Plum Dressing (patted over the Kiko, blended up through crease)

  • UD eyeshadow in Sin, mixed with the above MAC for highlight and inner lid. Also mixed with Inglot cream matte for highlight and blending edges.

  • UD Rockstar 24/7 eyeliner on lower and upper lashlines. Topped with the MAC shadow.

Bonus sriracha-honey wings I made for the Super Bowl.

I'm really enjoying letting go of the idea that there are "perfect" colors for XYZ occasion or look. I have WAY more than enough to mix and match with. I didn't need a lighter plum color because I could just mix a light peach with the dark plum and approximate the effect. This plum shadow is a super gorgeous satin-finish (which I love) but has meh pigmentation when used over a neutral base. So I layered it over a similar-hued base to make the color stronger! I'm reveling in versatility and trying to stretch my creativity. No need to buy 100 shadows for 100 single purposes when 10 will do.
