Day After Thread: 2016 Week 10

You Romo die hard faithfuls need to stop, please. Cowboys have never won 8 games in a row with Romo. The guy has not played in a year, and played poorly when he did, and has not really played at a high level since 2014. That was 2 years ago and before multiple injuries. Dak and this team right now is playing better than Tony has ever played. He is a natural leader and the team is rallying behind him. He is efficient on 3rd downs, he is accurate, he is CLUTCH, and he has the poise of a veteran championship QB. These are qualities you cannot coach. The Cowboys are on a historic run and some of you refuse to give Dak credit and be just be happy for this team. Some of you also don't realize how important team chemistry is in the NFL. If they were to bench Dak at the level he and the team is playing, it would divide the locker room and it WILL have a impact on the team, not to mention Tony is a gunslinger that would have to shake off years of rust and injuries to play anywhere near the level he played at 2 years ago. He has won 2 playoff games in his career. He will go down as a warrior on the field. Few few NFL players are tougher than Tony Romo. Very much like Brett Favre. He will go down with all the stats and a great regular season QB. That's it. It's not about fairy tales with Romo coming in winning a Super Bowl and riding off into the sunset, it's not about loyalty, it's about the team and it's about winning. Cowboy nation should be happy, should be excited, and should not be looking in the past, should not be thinking we could be better with a QB change with our historic 8 game win streak. Just stop it's ridiculous. Having Tony there and healthy and ready to play on the bench should be a great thing. We can go to him if Dak gets injured or if he starts to struggle over multiple games. But I don't see that happening. This isn't a hot hand thing anymore. You play at that level and win 8 games in a row, it's no longer a hot hand. It's a habit. A habit of winning and playing great. Dak is the starting QB for the Dallas Cowboys. He is the NOW, he is the FUTURE. What we can recognize is that Tony Romo is class personified and is handling this so well. He deserves a lot of credit for being able to suit up on the sideline and be a backup, and he deserves credit for not being a distraction.

I'm so happy to be a Cowboys fan. I've been waiting my whole life to experience this. That locker room has came together as one. The Cowboys nation needs to do the same. Embrace this team as it is and lets end this QB controversy.
