As the day comes to a close and the Smash hype starts to wane, lets talk about the game everyone predicted would get incredibly overshadowed today: Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl

I personally haven't played it yet, I've only looked at a review and opinion on the subreddit. Maybe take my observations with a grain of salt, because of that. At the end of the day, it's a modern fighting game. Aka, "the gameplay and online are really good, a shame about the rest of it."

There isn't really items for the casual chaos, and it's missing some basic things like alts to help differentiate in mirror matches. But it has good gameplay and even cool ideas like a strafe button to help manage what direction you're attacking in. From the outside looking in, it seems like Nick went for a good studio for good gameplay, because they didn't want it to be complete trash since they obviously didn't feel like providing more funds.
