fornication, adultery, gossip and slander, explicit music and violent entertainment choices, these things are more of a personal and individual choices, I would say, but not practices that are in any way inherent to WT.

I should've clarified, these are indeed not inherent to Watchtower. What bothered me however was how we were regularly taught how "wrong", "immoral", and "spiritually unclean" those were because they were viewed as worldly, unloving customs. The fact that they were more common within the organization than the outside non-Witnesses would think created a discrepancy that I just couldn't overlook, no matter how potently Watchtower would rationalize it in their favor.
