If this is real, if you guys were 17 and 16.... Sigh.... How long were you two even together? Like unless you got together when you were 13 I don't see how this will make sense in the future.... remember you will have several more girlfriends, probably a wife or two and maybe even a few kids in your life.... She won't..... For her mother it's her child gone forever, for you, she's a sad memory (if this was an average teenager relationship)......I know this seems like a big deal now, but as sad as this is, 30 years from now you won't remember what her face looked like, you will forget the things she loved to do and may even mix up her name eventually... but her mother will remember these things till the day she dies.....there is a possibility you should be keeping it....but honestly odds are your first wife will encourage you to throw it away if you don't lose it before then.... again, unless you two were together for multiple years, this stuff should really go to her mom.... And if you cared enough you would understand that or her mom wouldn't have asked for it....
