Just like every other deadman switch that has been said over every conspiracy nut hullabaloo they don't deliver. Think more about the feasibility and network of doing that instead of the binary 1's and 0's and beep boops that you think occurs from some random countdown. I don't think his status as a prisoner was limiting but I don't think he knew when he was going to die or get released and I do not think he would have trusted someone with all his dirty dark secrets.
