Dealing with anti Catholic Protestant family.

I come from a split family. Dad converted and is now on the path to the deaconate. Praise be to God. His parents are still Baptist and his sister my aunt is agnostic. There are some old wounds in my family.

A few years ago we lost my dad's older brother to a car crash a couple weeks before Christmas. That really out things into perspective. I delivered a eulogy for my uncle in his Baptist church. All I will say, is if he is still in Purgatory by the time I get there, I'm not leaving for Heaven till he comes with me.

During the holidays as much as we can we try to put our differences aside and focus on our love for one another. After all it is written, they will know we are Christians by our love. I trust in God's providence. My grandparents worship him in the best way they know how. Conversion is a very scary thing. I just think they are fighting with two hands behind their back. They will go to Mass with us on holidays sometimes. I try to be a testament to them when I can.

I will pray for your family.
