Dealing with dysfunctional Trust Grade SHOs

I guess discuss with your CS/exception report if you’re working late. But just think of (a) how much you are helping your colleagues with their career goals (b) building new leadership and teaching skills yourself during this period. Write about it. I’ve been on both sides, working as an native-speaking FY1 with colleagues who were working in their second language and struggling a bit at first, and have been a non-native speaker struggling in my new non-English job in Europe. I guarantee you the cognitive hoops you have to jump through every second to speak a second language while practising medicine is tough. A bit of patience is just the ticket, and I am sure your colleagues will be so grateful if you give them some extra help. I have been. Just try to put it into perspective.
