Dealing with family and friends who are fixated on your sobriety?

Some people are just ignorant. It's important to distance ourselves from all the toxic people that put our sobriety at risk early on. If they can't be avoided, ignore them. Why do you care what they think? They are clearly extremely judgemental and rude.

We have to assume people won't change, so we have to learn to deal with them. My father drives me insane, but I'm forced to be around him all the time. He'll never change. I've had to learn to not let his bad behavior get me down. It's not perfect, it's not easy, but I'm still sober. "Don't let it get to you" is what I tell myself. I have to sort of just block out all the annoying stuff around me and not let it get me down. Keep it outside and don't let it in. I'm the one letting it affect me, or not.
