Dealing with negative patient reviews/comments?

It's unfair that in general, online review sites (Google, healthgrades) are biased, because really dissatisfied patients are more likely to leave a review than really satisfied ones.

Like any other business, we have to mitigate that with marketing. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. I got a service called doctible ($70 a month instead of $250/mo from others) that sends a patient a direct link to review me on Google or healthgrades. If it's 5 star, it goes on the website. If it's not, it refirects the patient to a feedback box that goes to you but doesn't get posted.

Unhappy patients will still post bad reviews. But at least now, your review base is more reflective of the good work you do, making it easy for happy loyal patients to review you when they just otherwise wouldn't. It's also really nice to see how appreciated you are.

Don't let it get to you. We all have those "the doc is a terrible monster and shouldn't practice medicine they wouldn't listen and give me the only medicine that works for me" which usually translates to "I didn't prescribe you 4mg Xanax a day on top of your alcohol addiction." A lot of these "bad" reviews just mean you're doing your job.
