Dear Mark Ruffalo, Timothy McNeil And Matt Bomer: Why Is Matt Bomer Playing A Trans Woman?

Okay, thanks for explaining. I see what you're saying. I don't think there's anything wrong with telling me why I'm wrong. I genuinely didn't know a lot of what you guys told me in this thread. I have changed a lot of my views.

I still don't see anything wrong with asking to be spoken to with respect. Because a lot of what you said actually made really sad. It was eye-opening.

But I come from a black family. And a very political household. I don't usually like to disclose personal details but I've already done it once in this thread,l. And this is just not how I was taught to debate people about emotional topics

I'm really glad that so much has changed since my mother and grandmother grew up. When it was literally dangerous for my grandmother to have black folks in her living, in secret, trying to discuss how they were going to stay safe while arguing for their rights. And I don't wish to go backwards. But my grandmother and mom always taught me to not get this emotional. And to hear people out, to speak in an even tone, and to never use insults or mockery.

I'm really glad I learn these lessons. Because it means that I can take what I've learned here, and help my friends and family grow too. Maybe even perfect strangers. So, thanks.
