Dear White People: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR HISTORY OF EVIL

"My grandparents were death camp survivors. I know the evil we are capable of. I wouldn't even know where to begin to apologize. I am sorry... how could I not be? All throughtout history basically every bad thing that has ever happened has been because white people. I look at that way the system is designed to make certain people fail so others succeed and it disgusts me. And it makes me feel helpless, because i have no power, so what can I do? Really, tell me, suggestions are most welcome. I think about why it's so hard for some people to accept what our history means and why we cant ignore or avoid it. Human beings are inherently selfish and... I think white people get uncomfortable taking the blame for something they feel someone else did. To you, a white person is just white, but to us, we are slavic or caucasian or blah blah.. it doesnt matter of course. But an Irish person will usually point out that the Irish were enslaved too and they 'didnt do it' as if that negates the atrocities committed against the Africans or absolves them for benefitting currently from the oppression of an entire group of people.. because they're selfish. Honestly I cant undertand the thought process behind it, I just want to help make the world better. So yes, I accept responsibility for everything because, even if I dont like it, I do benefit from it in pretty much every aspect of my life as a white american. And holy shit, Im sorry."
