I agree, but its still unusual to me how he wasn't capable of even landing a scratch on the any of the Super Forms. None of Metals' attacks cause any rings to fly out, iirc. Fast forward to Sonic 06, another Super Form Team of 3 could be injured by Solaris (rings and all).

The point is, yes it took 3 Super Forms to beat Metal Overlord, but the gap between even one Super character is just too large. This made me have doubts on how powerful Metal Overlord is, especially after Eggman claimed that the Super Team's chances of victory are slim, and proceeds that with Team Sonic looking fresh and unscathed right after the battle. It would be as if you were to pit first time SS1 Goku (Compare him to Metal) against Super/Kid Buu (Compare him to Super Sonic). Yes, they are at their most powerful forms at the time but their base levels are vastly different. Goku could beat everyone under his power level (Consider this as Metal Sonic to the rest of the Teams as he's copied their Data), but not anyone at the level of Super/Kid Buu (Being the unimaginable power that is Super Sonic). Metal Sonic being superior to the other Teams but losing to Team Super is logical. Metal Sonic has copied the data of the Teams (excluding Super) and Chaos, two entities that could not even compare to Super Sonic alone. Practically, this is what I see (Team Rose<Team Chaotix<Team Sonic=<Team Dark with a chaos emerald<Neo Metal Sonic<Metal Madness<Metal Overlord<<<<<<Solaris<3 Super Form Team). Which goes back to whether or not Metal Overlord is exaggerated.

I'm not clear on how fast Zero is either so i'll leave speed, for now.
