Death Classic (Fan-Made Movie) discussion/announcements thread

please dont

a documentary about dg is going to be extremely hard to pull off without making them sound like an edgy pretentious hack3r guy 3000 bullshit

i remember seeing a trailer for that dg film a couple of months back and it's literally more embarrassing than this entire subreddit

>film is 10% done as of february 4th

heres a great idea: if you have the balls to actually go through with this it would be extremely logical to wait until jenny death is out before you even begin to think about how your going to approach this thing

the fact that you've already started is just proof of how amateurish the result will be, call me an asshole and downvote me but this is gunna make us look like shit (take it from a guy who's been told he makes dg fans look like retards dozens of times)

a professional thing to do would be to wait AT LEAST 6 months after jd has been released to even start thinking about how you'll approach it. this is the equivalent of trying to solve a puzzle with missing pieces

and dont tell me "oh bro its just gunna be the intro", the release of jenny death and any other further antics could add to our knowledge of dg as a band which could potentially change our entire perception

dg are a special band, they deserve more than just

>FADE IN

>BEWARE STARTS PLAYING

>CHARLES MANSON MONOLOGUE

>PICTURE OF EXMILITARY COVER

>VIDEO OF DG PERFORMING LIVE

>FAT NECKBEARD AUTIST AUDIO COMMENTARY TALKING ABOUT THE BANDS INCEPTION AND ANTICS

>repeat for every other album

take a more scholarly approach to this band, dont just make an edgy movie about how "le epic cool mysterious hackker 9000" because that'll only make them look like ICP

rereading this post i know i sound like a cynical asshole who may come across as a person who is against creativity, but the cynic in me makes me think a poorly executed movie about them is a terrible thing especially for a band that's as mysterious as dg. people who've never heard of dg before are going to want to know about them and when they look it up, they might come across your documentary so its imperative this doesnt look and feel like some high schooler thought he could make an epic video showing how cool the members are

again, take a scholarly approach to this
