Yes, and it's not like we Swedes are smarter or better than anyone, the average Swede is as stupid as the average human born in other geographical locations on earth, but our CDC explained in a rational way without frightening people the dangers of a raspatory virus, that it was not dangerous to children, that we should respect the virus but that it was not dangerous to the majority who get infected and that it was important to keep the old people safe etc.
Everyone everywhere was scared of that virus last spring, we didn't need laws to make sure people are careful. The 10-20% of people who didn't give a shit about the recommendations (in every country) is not a significant enough amount to change the outcome of the spread.
