Why is debut more difficult for soloists ?

A successful solo soloist is difficult to spot. Even artists like Heize, Chungha, Jessi, found popularity from mnet shows. [heck I didn't know that Jessi came from a now-disbanded group].

It's hard enough to get noticed but even once recognized it's just as hard or even harder to maintain said interest. It's the same for groups too but at least they are able to build a fandom. I don't know how soloist do it [minus trot].

It would be interesting if a big3 company debuted a solo soloist. It would be like the first time in 20 years. Probably have everyone talking and wondering who is this exceptional soloist. The hype would be real but aside from a one-off the hype would disappear and not be worth it once again.
